Major manufacturer defect, design and QC
Overall the quality of the bike is pretty solid but the defects that you cannot see might cause a major issue on the usability of the bike. I own the bike for a month and my daughter only rode it two times. Last weekend when we tried to take the bike out and found out both of the tires were flat. I couldn't inflate it back to normal pressure. After spending quite some time on it with some expert advice from others. I found out the problem was caused by the poor quality of the rim welding job and the cheap rim tape. As you can see from the photos, the welding residues and the stripped screws pinched through the thin rim tape and punctured the rim side of the inside tube. Both the tires had the same issue. So please be ready to do some repair job and purchase extra tubing and tools when you purchase this bike. Unfortunately, you get what you pay for.One advise since you have to go through the trouble to change out the inner tube, purchase an angled valve tube. It will make your life make easier. The small rim size just makes inflating the tires very difficult.

Fun, durable and inexpensive bike. KIDS LOVE IT.
My son has had the bike for 3 days now and absolutely loves it. He's 5 and my daughter 7. This will be our 3rd Royal Baby Bike. The bikes are excellent. My kids rid 3-4 hrs a day. Never had tried it out with training wheels since my kids slipped that stage by riding a Strider bik from 1.5 years old. This Aluminum bike is a bit lighter than the standard RB bike. Plus the matte finish on the bike is really cool. Come with a kickstand that goes on the rear axle. So far, the front brak works superb. The tires are. Wider than a typical kids bike. Although, my son skids a lot. The bike tire wore through. No worries, he's hard on bikes. We passed the bike down to my nephew and bought this one. My daughter's bike and the old RB are pretty much left outside everyday and we live in the Pacific Northwest right on the beach. I would suspect a. Giant rust pile of a bike after 2 years. Not the case. Minimal rusting on a few small parts. Dunno what they did to make the bike to prevent our norwest rain from covering it in rust...but it's great. I have told all of our friends with kids about these bikes...many of which have or will be purchasing these bikes. Do yourself a favor and buy this great inexpensive, fun and durable bike for your kids.Cheers. Any questions about the bike feel free to contact me here on amazon.

Great bike. This is my 3rd one as one ...
Great bike. This is my 3rd one as one was stolen at an rv resort. Nice and light so my 5 and 6 yo can easily pick it up when they wipe out and move it around themselves when need be. The tread on the tires is good. I do suggest re-lubing the bearings, oil the chain, and tighten everything up when you first receive this. The tires should also be realigned. Only issue with this bike are the accessories are very cheap. The bell wont last a day and the cup holder breaks very easily. I suggest buying a metal cup holder and using stainless steal cup for your kids. The back red reflector doesn't like to stay on either so if you plan on night riding install a decent light in its place. The bolt for the training wheels needs to be tightened periodically if you are using them. Other then that this bike has put up with a lot of abuse/wipe outs and is still going strong. Highly recommend.

A very good bike, except rear wheel needs grease
Rear wheel has friction! It’s not smooth and needs to be greased! Stupid! Why does the manufacturer spend so much time on details and simply doesn’t provide about half a penny worth of wheel grease? Or better yet apply it and then wrap the rear wheel (if they’re concern is grease leaking into packaging)! Otherwise a very good bike

Went with the 16" in hopes we wouldn't have to purchase another bike in a year. My son turned 3 in November and he is a bit on the tall side, 85th percentile at his last doctor appt. This was a Christmas present...it is a little large but by the time summer rolls around he shouldn't have an issue and will have plenty of room to grow.

Nice Bike, Bad Inner Tubes
The bike arrived in good condition and was easy to assemble. My grandson was thrilled with it. Much of the 'Baby' logos have been replaced so that was nice. Both tires blew out within 2 days. They were inflated to 5 pounds less than the max printed on the tires. After re-reading the reviews it seems problems with the inner tubes are a common problem. After contacting Amazon they offered to let me return or exchange the bike or to take a discount to cover the cost of replacing the tubes. I'm handy so I took the discount and I'll fix the bike. Happy with the way Amazon handed it but disappointed in the quality of the bike. If you don't want to deal with issues like this choose another bike.

Not an aluminum bike.
Beware, it is not an aluminum bike as advertised. Lie. Only two horizontal pieces of frame are made of aluminum, the rest of the bike is a regular metal heavy construction. See the pictures attached with the magnet (arrows) holding to the metal parts of the bike. All vertical pieces of frame, the fork and the pedal levers are made of metal, which makes it as heavy as a regular bike or maybe 20% lighter.

3rd RoyalBaby Bike Purchase
I've purchased 3 of these RoyalBaby bikes for my Grandchildren in the recent past and everyone of them has been a winner. As my next Grandchildren move up through the ranks I will continue to buy more. I'm an Engineer, and I feel these bikes are well designed and the quality is very good. Had a very minor problem with a small part on this particular bike. However, customer service took care of the problem, and, they were readably available the day after Christmas. This is a solid company. More importantly, they build bikes my grandchildren really like.
