Bibi Blocksberg, die kleine Hexen
Growing up in America, I was exposed to a lot of American cartoons as well as English dubs of foreign properties. My best friend Catarina grew up in Germany and grew up on the Bibi Blocksberg series, listening to all of her radio adventures, watched all of her cartoon adventures on ZDF as well as the Bibi and Tina series. Catarina and I met through Mara Kayser a German idol in the schlager genre and I remember talking to her about what we grew up on, Bibi was brought up... It wasn't until after COVID hit I was introduced to the little witch who is the leading lady of Germany! When I found out there was a manga version of Bibi Blocksberg, I became very excited and asked for the manga right away. Fortunately, I found out there was an English version of these books available for purchase and ended up getting the first volume for my birthday last week!In the first volume, we're introduced to Bibi's world and Bibi Blocksberg herself and as soon as Miyu comes, we are zapped right into the action of the two friends!Lots of the characters such as The Mayor, Moni and Marita all appear and it has such a great start!I just finished volume 1 and 2 and I can't wait to read them again! This is a great Introduction to any new fan of Bibi Blocksberg or the perfect companion book to any Bibi fan young or old.So what do I have to give Bibi and Miyu? Eenie meanie, flashing cars, I give this book five whole stars! WIZZ-WIZZ! (Hex-Hex!)I hope the series becomes popular in English speaking countries and helps Bibi gain more popularity outside of Germany!

Good for kids
Probably a good “manga” (it is not formatted like a true manga at least as an ebook) for kids. Extremely fast read as an adult. Essentially no conflict. Very cutesy.

Quick and Fast Paced Magical Adventure
This was a cute and adventure-filled story to get children interested and started reading manga comics. I loved the artwork that the story presented, and I enjoyed the characters. i also think children would enjoy this series. I did, however, think that the fast pace of the plot put a damper on what this manga could be. The story was relatively shallow, and there was little to no character development amongst anybody. There were background conflicts (between the girls and their parents, and internally with the girls) that were glanced over and not discussed. All of the characters met and began going on adventures quickly, and the adventures were solved very easily. I understand this is for children, but more substance would have been wonderful. I'm sure the story will get better and we will get more as more volumes come out though.
