Great solution to turn a rocker into a swivel chair. Bought this for an old but very comfortable high back rocker that allows for the legs rest to extend. But wanted the ability to swivel in the family room to watch TV but also swivel to talk to someone sitting on the couch.Works great. Every rocker is different. I had to add two short 2x4's to the frame in order to attach the swivel securely. Worked perfect. Only raised the rocker about 1 1/2 inches. So depending on the fabric of your rocker you may see the black swivel base when seated on a couch at a distance. For me it wasn't a problem.This is very sturdy and was way better than spending hundreds to buy a swivel rocker when this one was still in great shape

I attached this to an 18"x24" plywood base and made my recliner-rocker chairs swivel. (This saved me from buying new swivel chairs) And it works great. The bottom has urethane (?) type cushion feet that slide easily and don't mark up the floor.

This was exactly what we needed for our recliner. The original base recliner we needed was 27", this one was 25.5", but it still worked perfectly. It is sturdier than the original one and was easy to screw in. I am extremely happy with this purchase.

Very easy to install. They turned a comfortable stationary chair, into a smooth swivel chair.

I was a worried that 25.5" vs 27" was going to be an issue - it is not. This is actually better built than the OEM part on my Jackson Catnapper 5000 recliner. Took all of 15 minutes to swap out. Easy peasy. I always look at reviews - so i figured it was my turn to leave one.

I wonder what value reviews are after an experience like this. There is very little mention of product compatibility with the reviews. The package comes with no instructions. On our Lazy Boy recliners, there is no way to use these without extensive modifications. It can be done, but requires adding a piece of wood to bolt the swivel onto. Once done, the chair creaked badly when rocking. It also added at least an inch to the height of the chair, which makes it kind of tippy. The swivel itself seems ok, but the mounting issue initiated a return.
