Q: What type of hook is needed to put this on a tile wall?

The clock itself weighs very little but the type of fasteners they provide are meant to be used on drywall or wood. All you need is a screw in the wall. I suppose you could try adhesive fasteners but I'm not sure I would trust them over a long period of time. If you have a hand drill, you could probably drill a small hole in the grout between the tiles and then put a screw into that. Be sure to use a bit just slightly smaller than the screw itself. Just about any kind of screw passing through the tile into the wall would be enough to hold the weight of this clock.

Q: Does this clock need an aa carbon or an aa alkaline battery?

Although a single carbon aa battery would work for this clock, I only use alkaline batteries because they are better.

Q: Size of numerals in centimeters or inches?

The clock is a little under 12 inches in diameter and the numbers are a little more than 3/4 of an inch tall. In centimeters, that's about 30 centimeters in diameter with the numbers about 2.032 centimeters tall. I hope that helps. It's a great looking clock and I love mine.

Q: Can you take the back off to add a different face?

I really like the wooden trunk to use as a base for a miniature fairy people or houses. I have used for a base for my art…..again a base!
