Great transmitter, works flawlessly
First thing, toss the little cable that came with it, and get something like the AmazonBasics 3.5mm Male to Male Cable . It'll allow you more freedom to place the device wherever you like. Plus, a better cable actually gives you better quality audio. My wife and I got this because we got tired of re-re-re-re-re-re-re-pairing our AmazonBasics Bluetooth 4.0 Audio Receiver every time we switched from wifey's laptop to mine. So now this and the Bluetooth audio receiver stay paired all the time.I know this is one of the cheapest Bluetooth transmitters out there, so I'll just say: the audio quality is just fine, by my estimation. I've only really used the transmit mode, though. Haven't tested the receive mode, though it's tempting to get another one for the car...

Too Much Latency/Voice Delay for My TV
I was reluctant to purchase this product because the description did not mention low latency. I scrolled down and found that another reviewer mentioned that she was using it for her TV and that there was no voice delay/latency and that she and her husband were very happy with it. Reading that review, I felt comfortable purchasing the product. Unfortunately, when I connected it to my TV, there was noticeable latency/delay and was not synched to people's lips as they talked. I have a TV in my workout room and like to watch it as I use my treadmill, but have to turn the sound up very high to hear over the sound of the treadmill. I was hoping to use this product and pair it to my Bluetooth headphones to be able to hear the TV better and not disturb others in the house. The delay is too much for me and I am returning it. I am not sure how much of the delay is associated with the TV and how much is a function of the Apsung product - I suspect that most of it would be associated with the transmitter, but I could be wrong. The product paired pretty easily and is nice and small. I did not try it as a Bluetooth receiver. I suspect that if you want to use the product to just listen to music, that it would work well - that is why I am giving it 3 stars. I am going to purchase a Receiver/Transmitter that has low latency listed in the product description and see if it works better. FYI, my TV is a Samsung UN24H4500AF

It works...but falls short.
I bought this so that I could connect my Bluetooth headphones to my TV. (I didn't test the receiver function). Quality of the unit itself was a little flimsy, I could feel the entire internals of the unit shift when I pressed the button or plugged in the 3.5 cable. Plus, I was unable to have my 3.5 audio cable and the USB charger plugged in at the same time...the ports are too close together. It was easy to connect to, and transmitted audio almost immediately. I was able to control the volume from my headphones, and I quite liked that. The battery life was pretty good too. But, unfortunately, the sound latency was really bad. The sound in the headphones was so mismatched from what I was seeing on the tv, it looked like I was watching a foreign movie with the audio overdubbed. Plus, if there is anything resembling bass, it distorts almost immediately. (I tested this with my Apple TV in case it was my headphones, and there was no distortion.) Plus, if anyone was using an iPad in the vicinity of the receiver, it would distort and cut out the audio. I found myself after a few minutes focusing on the mismatched audio over the actual movie.I wanted this to work, but it's going back. I gave it one star because of the ease of setup and battery life.

I tested the XM receiver using a patch cord directly to the input on the dash and sound quality was no better. I turned off the XM unit
When I first paired my XM receiver using this device to the radio in my RV, the sound quality was awful and I thought I would have to return it. However, I tested the XM receiver using a patch cord directly to the input on the dash and sound quality was no better. I turned off the XM unit, turned it back on and got a message that it was determining the correct setting and all of a sudden, the sound quality improved dramatically both through the direct connection and through this Bluetooth device. I would say the sound quality is about 98% as good as the direct connection. I would buy it again.

Great way to turn your old speakers into bluetooth speakers - if it lasts...
Original Review: Great way to turn your old speakers into bluetooth speakers. It holds a charge for a suprisingly long time. Makes an on and off noise when you hold the button so you know if it's on or off. Easy to pair. Auto pairs after you first do it so I can just hit play on my phone when I get in to the room and music starts.Update 12/16/17: Product stopped working. Will not charge or turn on... was great while it lasted...

Doesn't work with all devices
Interestingly, it would only sync with a few of my Bluetooth devices. I wanted to use it with my TV, to send the signal to my Bluetooth headphones. I tried it with 2 different headphones, but neither worked. I think the only thing it synced with was a small Bluetooth speaker I have. Kind of disappointing.

Versatile bluetooth transmitter and receiver
Works very well. I use it as a blue tooth transmitter for my old classic Ipod. Both the mini jack and micro-USB ports are on the same side and you might have a little bit of an issue finding connectors that do not crowd each other.

Excellent transmitter for older car, TV and speaker.
I have a older Honda Civic that do not have Bluetooth connectivity. Older vehicle used tape to listen music. Now I can steam music from my iPhone to this transmitter without any issues. I can also use it for my 5 in 1 home audio. Basically connect it to auxiliary and steam music from my phone or computer.
