Hit the jackpot in this gamble
I was so worried looking for a portable radio - so many different types on the market to choose, constantly wondering about sound quality and signal strength. This was my first choice, and I certainly made the right decision.I've been using this for work for a year now; I drive a very old vehicle around town and on the main highway that runs through said town which has no factory radio installed. The silence was maddening to say the least. It has an adjustable antenna that can be pivoted in any direction (although the screw loosens and needs to be tightened every few weeks which a tiny screw driver remedies in 3 seconds). The volume can actually compete with some normal, non-portable radios - it is surprisingly loud and the sound quality suffers very little at max setting. Only thing that irks me about it is the volume dial is inverted - so dialing upwards made the volume go lower and vice versa (I'm used to it now, though haha). The sound quality is actually really good for a small, bland-looking radio. I find myself actually mentally (even verbally) complimenting it and enjoying the music quality almost all the time. The signal strength is awesome (For FM since that's all I use), to say the least. There are only a few spots in my area where I lose signal briefly, get static, or the current station gets garbled up with another - but that happens to regular car radios, too, so I'm not gonna knock a star off over it. There are also times where it'll lose the clear, steady reception of a station after I turn it off and turn it back on after some time passes, but moving the antenna or cycling the power until it catches the signal again usually fixes that issue. And the 10 hour battery life is not a lie! The vehicle I use for work doesn't have A/C either and this little radio has no trouble in 90+ degree (Fahrenheit) weather - even during the humid days. It's never been hot to touch/hold. The shortest time I've used it in a day is 4 hours. It's stayed on for 7 hours in one day, no problem. There have been times where I've forgotten to plug it in for the next day, and it didn't have any issues powering through the following day. The battery life was what sold me on it, because I really didn't want to worry about it dying while I was still driving around and I was definitely not gonna waste my phone's fragile battery using a Bluetooth speaker.I'm very happy with this purchase. I WILL definitely be buying this radio again if my current one kicks the bucket. Best money I have spent to improve the quality of my work life.Thank you so much for creating this little sanity-saving masterpiece.

Best Portable AM/FM Radio on the Market
While access to media is easy with smart phones and streaming services, I realized that there were many times when those services weren't available to me (such as when I am on the go, or the electricity fails) and a good portable AM/FM radio would be necessary. Majority's traditional style Bedford AM/FM portable radio fits that bill and is a good looking and solid piece.Unlike older portable radios that continually need new batteries, the Bedford allows recharging via a USB cable and the charge lasts at least 10 hours which is plenty for any of my listening requirements. Although the sound is only mono, it is the clearest and deepest sound I have ever heard in a portable radio. It has enough volume to fill a large room and has an earphone jack to allow personal listening. It is easily portable since it is not oversized, and it also has a convenient and solid folding carry handle that get out of the way when it is not needed. Tuning and volume are controlled by traditional flywheels, but the unit has a green indicator light that appears when the tuning is optimal. I live in a valley which inhibits good reception on many of my devices...but not this one. It easily receives the stations that I want to listen to, even those at some distance away which is unusual especially for those on the AM dial. The collapsible metal antenna rests almost hidden away when not in use but is longer than most and easily oriented when it is in use. Best of all, the price is very reasonable and much lower that one would expect for a portable radio with this level of quality and craftmanship. I expect to be enjoying it for many years to come.

Worked well
Used this on a 2 week long road trip to catch some local radio stations across the country. It works well if the radio signal is strong but is very finicky if the signal is weaker. You really have to play with it to get good reception. The battery lasts FOREVER which is incredible. I had it on for around 8 hours and it didn't die on me. As a camping or emergency radio it's perfect.

Amazing Purchase
When purchasing I was wanting something nice and compact that had a decent amount of sound for my fiancé and I to enjoy the drive in movie theatre. When it arrived I wasn’t sure it would be very loud as the box was much smaller than anticipated. (Met my other need of being compact perfectly as I wanted) once I plugged it in and turned it on, it was surprisingly very loud. I was then very excited and satisfied with my purchase.

Great little radio!
I bought this radio to go in my garden to keep the deer away. I hooked it to a solar panel so I didn’t have to worry about changing batteries every day. It was loud, picked up stations nice, easy to use, didn’t have any overheating issues, and it is ready for next season!

It Worked Well For A While - No Help From the Company
It worked well for a while. After 8 and 1/2 months it stopped taking a charge no matter what cord we used. I called the company and they offered no warranty beyond Amazon's 30 day warranty. Unless, I had purchased the extended warranty, which I did not. They offered no additional help.

Music is a MUST
I needed a radio while at work. Something portable to take outside with my client. It came completely dead,so I charged it up and used it the next day. Well it played for 3 hours, started staticing and then went dead. I put it on the charger and the light won't come on to show that it's charging.
