Brush With Watercolour: Painting Landscapes the Easy Way

I like Terry Harrison books! They are very informative and helpful , the scenes are very beautiful and inspirational !He is my truly teacher in watercolors, I have learned a lot from him! Unfortunately, the condition of this particular book was bad -that's why I am giving four stars !

Terry Harrison is tops when it comes to watercolors. His own watercolors are fabulous and his teaching of watercoloring is ubelievable...This is a favorite book in my watercolor library with the fantastic illustrations and wonderful instructions. love the examples and what I have read but have not started one yet so not totally sure

This book a took a few weeks to Be dilivered. However, it is a fine book and worth the time it took to be delivered

Finally a watercolor book with paintings that I would like to be able to do... will definitely buy more from this author.

The book has excellent tips for beginners and experienced artists who need a bit of encouragement. Especially helpful were the types of brushes to use for effects. I have already seen an improvement in my work!

PEREFT FOR MY STARTER PLANTS.

There are many and varied books on this subject, and this is certainly one of the better ones !A great deal of information on many aspects of watercolour techniques..... and is a great help to both the beginner and the more experienced !Beautifully illustrated with the artists' own work , these examples of Terry Harrisons' skill are a valuable lesson in themselves , a vast amount can be learned simply by looking at how his "finished painting " along with his descriptive tips ...." turn out" on the paper !The chapter on the brushes alone is reason enough to buy this book ! The additional coverage on masking techniques is given more coverage than most books offer.... and the numerous tips on many other aspects of watercolouring are a great help too !On the whole ...a great addition to any library !

This starts with colour and composition from the moment you pick it up! I have found it easy to follow and full of ideas about what to do and how. Start painting here and do it again without the book and you will realise how much help the book is. I now rate Terry Harrison as an inspiration!He starts with the tools you will need and then how to use them. He shows you a few scenes to complete and talks you through each one. And you can flip back through the pages if you get stuck.Can't recommend this book enough especially if you are keen and need somewhere to start.

Well illustrated

Terry Harrison has helped me to progress in my own art due to his wonderful series of books which are easy to understand and have some wonderful pictures. The advantage is that you can revisit it time and again.

Have not had much time to study this book but am pleased with what I have found so far. There are detailed exercises using the recommended brushes, although not everyone will possess these - an excuse to buy more brushes? Clearly illustrated with examples of finished work.
