You never know when you need them and I needed them. These are solid and I can knock small pins in and out, use it for peening and the carrying case is nice to see sizes at a glance. Price was right. I'm a right tools for the right job person . I've set small pins with these , finish tacks and they do what they're supposed to.

Hammer came with three yellow heads and one black, instead of two of each, but that's not a big deal. Otherwise, everything else looks good.The punches seem sturdy and well built, with a thin layer of oil already on them. I bought them for building rifles, and I think they're going to hold up! I wish you could buy separate plastic heads for the hammer though.Also I saw people complaining about the brass punches bending. For those that don't understand what BRASS is, it's a COPPER ALLOY, which means it's way softer than steel (nearly 10x softer on the Brinell hardness scale), so if you're trying to punch steel and hitting them roughly, of course they're going to bend. That's not a fault of build quality, that's just you overestimating the material quality of brass and using them poorly. Brass bends, brass is soft, but that's what makes brass punches perfect for not gouging steel. Saw a bunch of people complaining about this and thought I'd correct them.

With this kit I can 100% disassemble my pistol and rifle, and it's pretty cheap! No catch, it seems quality. Has worked for probably 3 pistol teardowns and 2 rifle teardowns with zero issues zero complaints. Simply just good to me. Hammer is a little light, but if you hit your hand you won't be complaining it's light right? Love the case too, it holds all the punches and hammer quite securely! Honestly if you need a punch set and you're not trying to do anything crazy this is a great choice.

Tons of value for the cost. Stores everything well. Comes with more than youd expect at the price. Strong materials, great feel to them. Hammer is a little light but serves its purpose for most functions
