A useful kitchen timer and thermometer. Accurate in use though I wonder how resilient it is when dealing with boiling sugar and jam

Easy to operate.

Delivery from Amazon via Popcorn UK was excellent within a day or so.However the actual Kitchen craft thermometer has some problems and I am currently in contact with them for remedial actions. The battery recommended on the wrapping (V13GA) is two deep (thick) and cannot ne removed once inserted. I noted too late that the batteries used (2 of a thinner type) were AG10's. I have told them of this and they have asked for photographs which I will be sending shortly. Disappointing after such good delivery service. Regards, Malcolm Copp

I love it - with slight reservations regarding its robustness of construction, but with no reservations at all in terms of its functionality.

Very slow in response. Inaccurate temperature measurements. Tried to benchmark the product with melting ice (0 degree Celsius) and boiling water/steam (100 degree Celsius) - the thermometer registered approximately 3 degree Celsius and 88 degree Celsius respectively (after a considerable amount of waiting). Not suitable for any serious measurements. Should be avoided totally. (Returned mine for refund).

We have had this thermometer for about 4 years: Makes ensuring the turkey is 'ready' much less fraught. Ours stopped working today after it was washed. Changed battery, but this did not help, however a few hours on the radiator and its working again. Ordering a spare anyway, just in case as its comming up to Christmas.

When I first received this thermometer I set the "high" temperature for 90 degrees and turned my back on warming milk.I never heard the alarm to tell me that the milk had achieved the desired temperature, so, being milk, it went everywhere. Distorting the plastic housing for the electric in the process.The thermometer packed up and I contacted the seller to complain about the alarm. I was offered a refund or replacement and was told that I would have to explain in detail what had gone wrong. I got the "broken" object to examine and, lo and behold, it was working again. Clearly, it had got wet inside but had dried out completely overnight.I still use it, battle-worn as it is. The alarm does work, but it is best not to leave the kitchen and go on your computer, as I did.If you are trying to decide if you want one of these, and are reading comments, I hope that mine isn't as useless as most seem to be with Neanderthal comments about whether or not an item works as described.This i a DOMESTIC DIGITAL THERMOMETER. It is NOT a commercial tool. If you have your priorities in order, you will not be disappointed with this item.
