Q: Are these safe for vinyl floors?

They fine for any hard surfaces. Soft material. I’m using them on the new style plank vinyl flooring. Had them for over 6 months not a scratch. Highly recommend.

Q: How strong is the bond between the felt and the metal. Is the felt falling off after awhile?

I think that the bond is very strong. I have a total of 16 of them on four dining table chairs. It has been over two years of daily use, and none has failed.

Q: What is the screw size you use for these? I am trying to replace nylon gliders that have a nylon stump, on my dining room chairs.

Q: How do I screw them on?

You need to drill a pilot hole in the bottom of the chair leg. I think I used a drill bit that is 7/64", which is just shy of 1/8". Then, you simply start the screw in the pilot hole and screw it in. The pilot hole will make it easier to screw the pad onto the leg and will keep the chair leg from splitting.
