Listen: these are cheapo tires. But they really don't suck at all.
WHEN I BOUGHT THESE a pair was just over 25 dollars, and they were WELL WORTH that price. Now that they are over 40 I would still say that price is fair but keep in mind that they are CHEAP tires. You aren't winning any races or flying into corners glued to the road on these.I've been running these tires on my beater/junkyard bike build for the last 7 months now. It's been a fairly light use situation- I've run this bike for an average of four miles a day, five days a week, that would be roughly 560 miles or so on these tires.I don't expect much from these tires given the price point. The tread pattern is essentially useless and wears out quickly, and you will slip in the wet if you aren't careful. The tire material (is it actual rubber? can it even be at this price?) does not feel particularly grippy to the touch. The tire seems overall slightly thin. If you want amazing road slicks that you can count on to grip hard in corners, look elsewhere. If you want amazing road treads that will push out water and hug the road better in the rain, look elsewhere. If you want cheapo tires that work surprisingly well for the cost, read on.These tires just work, man. It defies all logic. I've run them through wet and dry and even gravel (wouldn't recommend at all) and while they are nothing special they are great for light commuting (ie if you treat your bike as a "last miles" vehicle) and in that context I hardly find any faults with them. I'm not racing on these or anything. On normal, everyday use, they stick to the ground more than acceptably and grip doesn't seem to suffer too badly over time. Again the tread pattern goes away fast on these things but I haven't noticed a difference in the wet. They feel like slicks even when new.The tire walls are a little thin. But mine haven't been pierced yet and I am not the best at avoiding twigs and other hard organic debris. I have not gone over glass on these tires, but am sure they would be punctured through easily. They do seem a little thicker in the center, where the tread is. Maybe this helps. I've been on bumps and gone down curbs, hopping or otherwise, and they haven't popped yet. I keep them at the recommended 95 psi; they feel like they can handle more readily but I will not risk it. Your miles may vary.As far as fitment goes the wire bead seems a little tight. I have a harder time mounting/removing these from my 700c wheels than a few of my other tires, but it's nothing to cry about. It's doable enough. So is a pair worth $42? Maybe. They aren't bad. Are they worth the $25 I paid for them? Absolutely. There are few (maybe none) tires in this price range that I would call any semblance of "good." But these are different somehow. They've exceeded my expectations (which were very low) in all ways. I don't regret buying them at all. I just looked up Zol and apparently they mainly make eyewear. What the hell?Anyway, just don't expect much from these cheap, shitty tires, and you will be very pleased.

These are good tires.
These tires just work. I've run them through wet and dry and even gravel on my 60 + miles a week and they are great for light commuting. I'm not a racer. On normal, everyday use, they stick to the ground vert well and the treads are holding up over time. I like the tread pattern goes and it works , They feel mice on my 2 vintage bikes.I keep them at the recommended 95 psi.I like wire tires and so it is a good fit on my 700c wheels. So are these "good tires"? Heck YES! Are they worth the $ I paid for them? Absolutely. They've exceeded my expectations in all ways. A++

Replacement tire for road bike.
Not a top-dollar purchase, but fit perfect and has been quite durable so far. Great deal for the price.
