SID 3D Camera Weeview - Mini 3D Wi-Fi Video Camera with Handheld Stabilizer Gimbal (Cinematic Kit)

I love everything about it....The quality and ease of use is amazing.

Surprisingly small and very lightweight, as described, but smaller than I still imagined. The 2 lenses are not eye-width apart, but they do give a sense of depth of field and 3D. On highest quality, it is marginal at best, even when viewing playback on my laptop. The playback format (best I can describe) is Stereo Flat LR Square. Meaning that playback even when using a headset is like watching a large movie screen. You're not going to be able to look up at the ceiling or down at the floor. If you try different playback formats, you can get the total immersive effect only straight in front of the camera. If you look up or down, it's like looking into infinity... Legs look a mile long etc... I took 15 different videos in different lighting conditions and was marginal at best. Low light was horrible and not even worth downloading. Sound quality of recordings were also a let-down. I honestly can't say anything cool about this camera. It reminded me of the first digital camera I bought back in 1996, it was a Casio and I think it probably had better quality images? The SID playback on pause left the picture blurred and full of grain.The handheld Stabilizer Gimbal, looked really cool and was very responsive to counter-movement! I have a Galaxy S7 phone with a small Otter cover and the phone mount wouldn't go wide enough to hold the phone. Not a big deal. What WAS a big deal was I could tell from watching the video on the "Climatic Kit" that the Gimbal was different (it has longer arms on the stabilizer) and I even messaged about the discrepancy and they replied that the Gimbal in the video is the exact same and the one being sold in the kit! WELL, IT'S NOT!! In fact, with the SID WeeView camera installed on the gimbal, it's axis is limited by the camera hitting the gimbal handle! BECAUSE THE GIMBAL ARMS ARE TOO SHORT! Not at all what they show in the video.I would have wanted a return if I paid only $50 for the camera. The gimbal is probably great for a Go-Pro or something but the WeeView is too long for this Gimbal (as small as it is)

The smartphone attachment came broken in two parts and intentionally packed separately in two parts of the packaging so I thought I was assembling it wrong. Clearly according to the box it's meant to be one piece. I don't have time to return the camera (I need it for a project tommorow) so I'll super glue it and use it as is but it's very disappointing.

I really wanted to like this cute little camera... but it would not take photos nor could I connect it via wi-fi to my iPhone. I kept getting warnings that the connection was unstable. Unfortunately, I have to return it.

Elles permettent un usage tant ludique que professionnel de cette caméra 3D.Le stabilisateur portatif (gimbal) est une bonne idée, rien de mieux en effet pour stabiliser une caméra ! Le fait qu’il ait été conçu pour la sid en fait un produit très bien adapté aux contraintes de la 3D. Bien entendu, il est compatible également avec la plupart des caméras de sport.Le tout est extrêmement léger, rien que le poids de la caméra en elle-même est impressionnant (60g !).De nombreux accessoires sont fournis dans la boite comme une housse et un câble d’environ 1 mètre. Le temps de recharge est correct et les diodes sont assez lumineuses pour une utilisation en plein soleil. La housse est pratique, tout est rangé au même endroit.En plus, la SID est esthétique avec une forme allongée qui change du traditionnel davantage carré. Ceci s’explique par l’espacement entre les 2 cameras de 6 cm, ce qui correspond à l’espacement des yeux humains. Elle a aussi de bonnes dimensions pour faciliter la prise en main, tout en étant extrêmement fine.Seul bémol, le manuel fourni dans la boîte est en 3 langues dont l’anglais, chinois et peut-être japonais.En conclusion, cette caméra répond aux usages du présent comme du futur, le tout pour un excellent rapport qualité prix

3Dカメラ・レンズがワイド的(広角)な設定なので、物がゆがみ(湾曲)ます。また、設定変更も出来ませんので注意が必要です。設定できるのは、露出とコントラストだけです。バッテリーですが、電源入れっぱなしで実質約1時間程度のもちです。電源のON・OFFをうまく使えばもう少し持つかなぁ・・・という程度。バッテリーは内蔵式で脱着できません。ジンバル・設定変更的な事は一切できません。モードは左右の追随モード・左右上下追随モード・ロックモードの3つです。スティックが付いていますので、上下左右好きなようにカメラを操作できます。スマホホルダーは、iphone11の大きいサイズも使用可能。Wi‐Fiwでつなげてスマホで画像見ながら撮影出来ますが、少し延滞します。個体差なのか、ジンバルが正面を向いてくれない不良がありました。リセットボタンがあり一度使用してみたのですが、治らなく少し右を向いて止まります。またロックモードでまっすぐ歩いていくと、自然に右側へ向いてしまいます。私の操作が不味いのかもしれませんが・・・。

コンパクトな設計，３Dが取れること，ボタンの使いやすさなどステレオ画像を撮るにはとても良いカメラです。ただ，非常に残念ながら，FOV（field of view)視野角がカタログでは160度もしくは155度と書いてあるにもかかわらず，実際は簡易に計ったところ水平垂直ともに60度とかなり狭いです。サンプル画像を見たときに気がつくべきでした。おそらくレンズ自体は160度の魚眼レンズを使っているのですが，撮像素子が小さいため，全くレンズの視野角を生かし切っていません。しかも60度なのに魚眼レンズのため，端が歪んでしまっています。小型で広角，ステレオのカメラが欲しかったので残念です。
